“Woman” is a song written and sung by John Lennon from his 1980 album Double Fantasy. Written by: Lennon, is a hymn to “his wife Yoko Ono, and for all women.” The song begins with Lennon whisper: ”For the other half of the sky …”, a paraphrase a Chinese proverb once used by Mao Zedong.
